When you reset your Adjustments, also the Metadata presets are reset.
It would be great to guarantee the consistency of your workflow and to avoid potential legal issues regarding image rights, if resetting image adjustments would not affect image metadata like owner, copyright, contact information and so on.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

I suggest all of you report a bug, it is not an improvement request but seems like a(nother) regression defect, in version 15.2 on Windows 10 the metadata preset is not removed when resetting the image.
Same bug as Klaus here. But more specifically: only the metadata which have been applied using a metadata preset are reset. This is very annoying, it disrupts the whole workflow: it is impossible to use the "reset" command under these conditions, I lose all my copyright or location data for the photo, whereas I only want to reset the photo adjustments.
When I make image adjustments and enter metadata (e.g. IPTC fields) and later press CMD+R to reset the image it does not reset the metadata, only the image edits are reset. Does this not work for you?

again, on my system (macOS 13, CaptureOne 23 v16.2.6), metadata does not get reset when I press CMD-R.
Maybe there is something wrong with your setup.
yes - i have a preset for my iptc fields. like name, copyright and contacts. this is automatically applied in my import workflow.
and it would be great if it would not be deleted at any time. even or specially if i reset my image adjustments. linke cmd-r
