Request a new feature, or support for a camera/lens that you would like to use in Capture One.
I dread Capture One opening the last session or catalog upon starting Capture one.
For instance Adobe Photoshop doesn't automatically open the the last opened file when starting the application. Photoshop only start's the application without files automatically being openend. I want Capture One the be able to have the same startup behaviour.
What problem do you see this solving?
Dropbox online only "ghost" files completely crash Capture One when Capture one tries to open the online only "ghost" *.cosessiondb file.
If Capture One doesn't open anything it also doesn't crash on a empty file.
Also when on location a client noticed work from the day before because the last session opened automatically. Involving a celebrity which this client shouldn't have seen.
If Capture One doesn't open anything, I can just make a new session at the start of the day without first having to close the automatically opened session.
I made a mock-up how this could look like:
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Every work day.
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? Holding Alt when clicking the Capture One icon from the dock. |
Hi Thomas,
Thank you for your support.
Your idea would also be a workflow upgrade. Although I wish to take it one step further to have it as an general option.
I hope the nice C1 dev folks are noticing this. I've already had contact with the support team about this in 2019. They told me to use the Alt key. But that is sometimes hard to do behind the tether stand with a coffee in your hand.
Good idea!
I've made a related request here: If no catalogue/session was open when Capture One was closed, it shouldn't open one next time it's launched (Mac).
