That makes sense, for sure. Personally, because pixel editing is a specialized capability (that’s why Photoshop and Lightroom focus on different things), I’d have to think long and hard about whether I’d want Capture One to devote development resources to try and copy something that tools like Photoshop and Affinity Photo have been doing excellently for years (decades in Photoshop’s case) and which would take Capture One years to catch up. People might spend years complaining it wasn’t as good as Photoshop which can get tedious 😀.
That said, I do get that some folks prefer a “one ring to rule them all” tool. Good luck with your request!
Can you elaborate on “merging frames”? For pixel editing (stuff you’d normally do in Photoshop like blending images) I can recommend Affinity Photo as a great competitor to the world of Adobe.

But it would be so much nicer in Capture One ! Blending images enables creativity and artistic work…
