What problem do you see this solving?
It would be great to be able to COLOR TAG FOLDERS in the Library tab. When working with subfolders it's crucial to be able to highlight Folders to be edited or processed or ready for retouching or whatever meaning you want. It's so difficult to get track of what's been done or still need to be done, on and off set. When dealing with more than 10 subfolders (up to 100+ on some jobs spreading over several days), there's no way in CO1 other than keeping a spreadsheet, a text document or manually color tag folders in FINDER to have a quick and clear overview of the work in progress.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Every single day for the last 13 years (since Capture One 6) !

Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? There's no way in CO1 to annotate a folder in any way. Have to create a spreadsheet, a text document or manually color tag folders in FINDER to have a quick and clear overview of the work in progress. |
This would be a great feature. I use it in Lightroom all the time (which only tags folders in the catalog). Being able to color tag in the finder would be amazingly helpful
I requested the same fanction in 2023. All digital tech are waiting this most basic feature which come with most of the software. I make folders favorite but I can't tag after art director made selection. Now I separate in favorite from putting some kind of holders in between, but if I can color tag I don't have to struggle like this.
Can't this be done using Filters and/or Smart Albums?
4912473195677 – look at the list of requests in this forum that say "Implemented" or "Logged". Your assertion that Capture One doesn't listen to its user community is wholly inaccurate. Just because they didn't implement your request doesn't mean they aren't listening. The more upvotes a feature gets the better chance they will log the request and evaluate implementing it.
Color tag functionality has been requested for a long time but c1 doesn’t consider real user’s feedback
I was just about to post the same request but you guys already said all.
It’s a basic functionality for other software but missing on capture one and make our lives so difficult

Please C1 Team change that possibility and give us that small but huge feature that all digitechs are missing since ever.
I work this way as well and would love to see this functionality, very frustrating for e-com product shoots where file names are SKU or PLU numbers that match barcodes etc... everything needs to match and be double checked and be auditable.
