What problem do you see this solving?
As a studio shooter almost always use the same capture naming format for my shooting sessions.(Im a 100% tether & Session workflow user)
So I create a custom naming format to be used as the Next Capture Naming format.
Problem is if I forget to select the custom preset for naming, or if I was in a hurry, all the Next Capture naming functionality uses the system default preset. (Session_Name+Camera_Counter)
If there is a way to make my custom preset for naming the default for the system, It would save me loads of time & no frustration. Theres a option to delete the custom profile. but not to make anything "Default"
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? No. Since I export my captures for my client just after the shoot, I cant change names of the files. Cos of time & back reference complications I dont have any option other than using the default naming that was given by C1. |
I don't think you want it as permanent as "default for the system" since not everyone wants custom naming. Instead, you want a feature labeled "Set as default" for your custom naming. I currently, yes, have to go into NAMING FORMAT and select my format DOCUMENT NAME and 4 DIGIT COUNTER for every shoot, which is a hassle, especially if the shoot starts and I forget for some reason. Great suggestion! I hope it gets implemented. Cheers.
I came here to make this same request. I at least would like to have a space between the Name and the Camera Counter... I'm adding that space before EVERY session when it would be ideal to make it a default.
Please add this simple feature that would make the process so much easier. Thanks!
