What problem do you see this solving?
When I try to cull images taken with my Leica M11 Monochrom, I run into two related problems. The first is that the image may be too dark to properly evaluate. The M11 Monochrom has a great deal of dynamic range, so an image that was properly exposed to protect the highlights may appear quite dark in other regions. It would be very helpful to have an Exposure slider in the Cull Images window so that these dark areas could be opened up for inspection.
A similar problem occurs at the other end of the histogram. It can be difficult to tell in the Cull Images window if highlights are blown. With a Monochrom camera once highlights are blown they're not recoverable, so it's important to have this information. An Exposure Warning button would solve this problem.
When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?
Just now while I was culling images.
Current workaround
Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One? I end up keeping images I'm not sure about so I can look at them again in the Viewer with more tools available. This necessarily slows down my editing workflow. |
