I would absolutely LOVE an integrated color remap / color warper tool as seen in such software as Davinci Resolve, 3D Lut Creator, Nobe Color Remap, its even in Ortery's software. This approach to editing color is amazingly intuitive and flexible.
I love the ability to create color harmonies, and compress colors to specific ranges extremely easily and with a high level of finesse. It also makes it much easier to target specific adjustments based on saturation level or luminance value while leaving other values un effected.

Current workaround
To utilize this effect in its purest form, I have to export to photoshop- letting go of my raw control... and then open that file with 3d lut creator, and then save back down. OR go through the extremely time consuming process of creating an actual ICC lut that works predictably inside the engine. Alternatively, I can try to use a series of color adjustment layers and, most of the time this would be with the skin tone tool, but its just a lot less intuitive, finessed, or controlled. |
I comme fromd the video software, and I don't understand why and how it's possible that the lut3D tools are never applied in photo software. It's such an intuitive tool. Can't wait to see it in CP
