Tether to multiple folders simultaneously

Hello team C1,

as an e-commerce company, we need a solution for tethering to multiple capture folders simultaneously. For example, when photographing a complete outfit, the photos should tether into the 'pants,' 't-shirt,' and 'jacket' capture folders at the same time. Many of our clients request this folder structure.

Thank you for your help!

Current workaround

Currently, we have to interrupt the photo shoot, open Apple Finder, and manually copy the captured photos into each article folder separately. After the shoot, we then need to batch rename the copied files according to the product's article number.

Wouldn't it be easier for you to use metadata and/or keywords to associate each image with multiple products? This is something that you can already do and doesn't require to multiply the amount of storage used.

Otherwise I would suggest looking into third-party backup solutions for now, they might be able to do just what you're looking for.

Hi - thank you for the response. "So the end result of shooting 30 frames would be to have 3 folders with 30 frames in each for example?" - Yes. During a model photoshoot, we need the newly captured photos that display multiple articles (e.g., "pants," "t-shirt," "jacket," etc.) to be placed into each article's respective folder simultaneously. All folders will be exported as JPG files and uploaded to an online gallery. The client wants to view images of the model wearing the complete outfit, ensuring each article is associated with the outfit photos. Hope this makes it more clear.

Hi - could you help me understand this a bit better please: do you need your images to be automatically copied in multiple folders? So the end result of shooting 30 frames would be to have 3 folders with 30 frames in each for example?

Is there a specific reason for why you want to multiply the required storage? Can you describe the workflow that follows maybe, so I can better understand what you are trying to achieve.
