Please add ability to drag folders of RAW files straight out of Capture app on ipad to Macos

What problem do you see this solving?

At the moment it seems like files must be exported from Capture One for ipad. After rummaging around in the Finder, i can see there's RAW files there, but they're in some kind of system managed folder structure. It'd be great if there was a way to organise the files so that users could identify them, and copy them straight out, bypassing the need to convert them. Even to convert within C1 for ipad ala the desktop version.

hi,

So upon a bit of rummaging around, I can see that files imported into the app can be found when the ipad is connected to Macos, but they're in some sort of weird system file structure..

It'd be great if they were able to just live in custom folders so you could just navigate straight in and copy the folder straight out without having to export to EIP, then take em out.. Seems to be a bit of double handling when all the files are right there already. Perhaps converting to EIP within the catalog instead of exporting as, ala the desktop app?

When was the last time you were affected by this lack of functionality, or specific tool?

The more shoots I do where I tether to the ipad, the more banks up within the Capture One file system, and I know I'm going to have to do a purge. If it was possible to just move the original folder of EIP's out, it'd be a lot more efficient. So I'd say whenever I use the app.

Current workaround

Are you using any workarounds or other solutions to achieve your goals in Capture One?

At the moment when I'm on the road etc I export jpgs, then when I'm back at the office i export EIP's, save them in a folder in the C1 section of the ipad menu, then copy them out. Not really a work around, but it's the fastest way to transfer whole shoots.. via the cloud would be painfully slow, so I havent' done it.
