Tethered shooting external drive with iPhone

I do not want to use the in built storage on my iPhone to store the images off my camera. I use Fujifilm GFX100s cameras on long, high volume shoots, so using a. iPhone for storage is impractical.

I would like the ability to connect an external SSD, via an adapter, which would allow me to send the images to that drive instead of the iPhone.

is this possible?

thanks

Hi Evi , but of course...
I'm a professional commercial photographer and actually also worked for Capture One as I held for you a sort of on site tutorial at NITAL, the they began reselling CO in Italy.
Anyway, I primarily shoot tethered to Capture One Pro in studio and on location when possible. Recently switched from Nikon to Sony and the fact that in live view it is no longer possible to autofocus drives me crazy.

Now with Capture One Mobile (I did beta testing on iPhone but was not able to send you feedback) I'd like to shoot tethered to an iPad Pro (latest model) but being the HD of the iPad limited to 250GB (or less) it would be great to be able to set a custom capture folder just like with the desktop version, in order to use a dual USB-C input whereby on one hand you have the camera, and in the second slot an external SSD. This would facilitate also sync to desktop edit once back in the studio.

I shoot interior, ADV, event and portraiture.
    Hope this can be helpful.
    Thank you
    David

Hi. Few days ago I submitted the same request but for iPad, but the concept is the same. Be able to select a capture folder like on the desktop versione therefore have an external ssd attached via hub to the iPad and shoot tetherd with the camera. Would be very useful!

    Hello Paul,

Thanks a lot for providing this information! Would you be interested in having a short talk with me or someone from the team about these events? if so, please send me an email at eke@captureone.com and I will set it up.

    Thanks again!

Hi Evi, I have previously replied to the request and given lots of information, I’m not sure why the info isn’t visible.
Anyway, I shoot high volume events. On some events I shoot in excess of 4000 images using my Fuji X series cameras. I also shoot high profile events using Fuji GFX cameras. On either of those circumstances my phone would not have anywhere near enough storage. I am often required to select individual images and send them on for use on social media, having rapid access to images would be extremely useful.
In an ideal situation I would like to be able to send my images to an SSD but have the ability to view and select them using capture one mobile. Unfortunately the limited storage on a phone isn’t practical, so having the ability to store the images on an SSD using an adapter would be great.

Hey Paul, I second what Jack suggested! I am very interested in your workflow, can you please elaborate on your type of photography? How would you use our app if there was no storage limitation?
